Created for my sister’s Tiki-tiki Birthday Party, our Aloha Felicia Rum Punch will have guests saying, “Hello, Felicia!” and not goodbye. It’s a perfect tropical cocktail for summer entertaining.
My sister wanted a tiki party for her birthday and what’s a tiki party without rum cocktails? However, we didn’t want to be mixing cocktails all night so we created a party punch. Our rum punch recipe calls for a mix of tropical fruit juices and both light and spiced rum. The end result is a cocktail recipe that you’ll want to serve all summer long.
Rum Punch Ingredients
Get ready to buy a lot of juice, but boy is it worth it!
- 2 cups light rum
- 1 cup spiced rum
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1 cup coconut juice (or coconut/pineapple juice)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup mango juice (or we used Simply Tropical, a juice that combines mango and pineapple)
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- Grenadine (optional)
- Pineapple slices or lime slices for garnish
- Paper Umbrella for the garnish of course!
Aloha Felicia Rum Punch How-To
Mix all juices (pineapple, coconut, orange, mango and lime) with the light and spiced rums. Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Serve over ice (preferably a glass full of crushed ice). For added sweetness and color, add a splash of grenadine (although tastes good without as well). Add your paper umbrella with a pineapple or lime slice for garnish. Enjoy!
How to Serve the Rum Punch
We served the rum punch in our ‘Make Every Hour Happy Hour’ DIY Bottle. On the side, we served the grenadine in a vintage oil/vinegar bottle. We allowed guests to help themselves by setting up a bar. If having a dinner party, just put a tray right on your table as part of the table decor.
And what’s a rum punch without a tiki glass? We made our tiki glasses using a Cricut Maker and removable vinyl. I include the four tiki designs, the pineapple design, glass sources and the instructions on my DIY Tiki Glasses Using Removable Vinyl post.
And what party is complete without flowers? We got so lucky and found peonies in June at Trader Joes. We combined dark and light pink peonies with light pink and yellow Gerber daisies, white stock flowers and yellow mini carnations.
We made the Aloha Felicia Rum Punch and DIY Tiki Glasses to celebrate my sister’s birthday, but I have a feeling we’ll be enjoying both all summer long. Cheers to a fabulous summer!
