Are you ready to up your summertime cocktail game with Basil Infused Vodka? Infusing vodka with herbs like basil, mint or rosemary, sounds fancy, but really only requires planning ahead. So if you want to enjoy your Basil Infused Vodka on Saturday, you’ll need to make it on Wednesday or Thursday. I picked using basil because it grows in abundance this time of year and is a perfect summertime flavor. It also pairs nicely with watermelon and I just made a No-cook Watermelon Simple Syrup. I smell (literally, basil really smells so good) a summertime cocktail in the works.
Ingredients
- Fresh basil (about a large handful)
- 16 oz vodka
Instructions
Place basil leaves in a pint-size mason jar. Pour in vodka. Seal and store in a cool, dry place for 48-72 hours. Remove basil and enjoy your infused vodka.
You can try this process with other herbs or clear spirits like gin or tequila. Have fun with it.
