This Basil Watermelon Martini combines two iconic summer flavors. As a result, you’ll have a fresh and vibrant cocktail sure to delight. It’s perfect for soaking in the final days of summer.

While the Basil Watermelon Martini is easy to make, it does require planning ahead. You’ll need to make the Basil Infused Vodka 2- to 3-days ahead and the No-Cook Watermelon Simple Syrup 1-day ahead. This will ensure the vodka and simple syrup are infused with a strong flavor. Therefore, if you start the process on Wednesday, you’ll have everything ready to mix on Friday or Saturday night.
I have recipes for making the Basil Infused Vodka and No-Cook Watermelon Simple Syrup. However, you can also buy these premade if you forget to plan ahead.

Ingredients
- 2 oz Basil Infused Vodka
- 1 oz Watermelon Simple Syrup
- 3/4-1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- Ice
- Fresh basil leaves (optional garnish)
Instructions
Combine ice, vodka, watermelon simple syrup, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker (or mason jar). Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a small cocktail glass like a martini glass or champagne coupe (pictured is a vintage sherbet glass). Garnish with a fresh basil leaf (optional).
