Decoupage dried leaves to a real or faux pumpkin for a fun no-carve pumpkin craft. You can use leaves from your yard or purchase dried leaves from a craft store. This is an easy and fun craft that could be done on Thanksgiving day to keep kids busy while you cook. Then use their final pumpkin creations as your Thanksgiving table decor.
Materials
- Dried leaves (we used dried taupe fern leaves)
- Mod Podge (we used a matte finish)
- Sponge paint brush
- Pumpkin (we used real, but faux would also work)
Instructions
Brush mod podge onto your pumpkin and your leaf. Place the leaf on the pumpkin and add more mod podge on top. Your leaf may move around at first so simply let the mod podge dry a little and then try again. Remember, mod podge dries clear so don’t worry about all the white glue. Move around your pumpkin until you achieve your desired look. To create a similar pattern as shown, have leaves stem out from the stem of the pumpkin. See my video Reel on Instagram for more tips.
