DIY Fall Candle Wreaths

DIY Fall Candle Wreaths

September 20, 2018

Add a little touch of fall to your home with easy to make DIY Fall Candle Wreaths. These candle wreaths are not only simple to make but affordable too. And you don’t have to use them just for candles. I’ll show you how the wreaths look hanging up too—obviously, it is a wreath after all.

I used all the same materials as my DIY Floral Pumpkin Toppers except with the addition of a $1 grapevine wreath and a white candle. My goal was to create a few crafts with the same supplies to demonstrate that you don’t have to buy a lot of different materials to create different and unique crafts for your home. Plus, by using the same materials, you create a cohesive look and everything you create will go together. In fact, I’ll be using the DIY Floral Pumpkins as well as these DIY Fall Candle Wreaths in a tablescape I’ll be sharing later this week.

Materials

  • 6″ Grapevine Wreath (only $1 at Micheal’s)
  • Small Pine Cones (about 7 per wreath)
  • Acorns (about 5 per wreath)
  • Faux Flowers: Here are the flowers I used:
    • Rust Straw Flowers (I used about 7)
    • Toast & Rust Button Mums (I used about 8-10.)
    • I also used dried Billy Balls I got from Trader Joes. The link I provide is for one’s I found on Afloral. (I used 3-5.)
  • Faux Greener (I don’t see the one I used on Michael’s website, but this faux boxwood would work.)
  • Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue
  • 3.75″ Diameter White Candle (I used a 3.75 x 6″ Candle, but you could do any height.)

Instructions

Start with your greenery. Hot glue a few sprigs of greenery to your grapevine wreath.

Add your pine cones. Glue the pine cones to the outer edge of your wreath. I used about 7 pine cones.

Add your flowers. Start with your largest flowers. In my case, it was the rust straw flowers. Then add in your smaller flowers.

Add your acorns. Last, add your acorns and you’re done! Just add your candle or hang if you’d rather use it as a mini wreath.

I love how the colors pop against all my white decor.

They look so cute hanging inside my boxwood wreaths too. Using the mini wreaths as an addition to your everyday wreaths is such a cost saver because making or buying a full-size wreath can be very expensive. However, these mini wreaths are very inexpensive and turned my everyday boxwood wreaths into fall statements.

And be sure to check back later this week to see more pictures of how I used the candles on an early fall tablescape.
