Drink charms (or wine charms) are so easy to make and can elevate your glass from drab to fab! For these Fall Ribbon Drink Charms, we used a collection of velvet ribbons and dried arrow grass. For the ribbon, we used 7/8″ Frayed Edge Velvet Trim from Hobby Lobby. We used the colors blush, clay and marsala. We tied our ribbon drink charms to a set of vintage pink depression cocktail glasses. We found them at Goodwill for fifty cents a glass. If you’re looking for something similar, try googling something like “pink depression cocktail glasses” or “mid-century pink depression martini glasses”.
Materials
- 1/2″ to 7/8″ ribbon in a variety of colors
- Dried arrow grass
- Hot glue & hot glue gun
- Cocktail or wine glass with a stem
Instruction
Cut the ribbon into 12″ strips. Fold to mark center. At the center, add hot glue at a diagonal. Glue on a small bundle of arrow grass. Let dry. Once dry, tie a cow hitch knot around the stem of a glass. You’re now cocktail ready. See my Instagram (@tonalitydesigns) to get the recipe for the two classic cocktails I served.
