Using my Cricut Maker, I created Rainbow and “Lucky Me!” vinyl glasses to help us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day next week. You could also use the free SVG files to make rainbow t-shirts, signs, bags, and more.
While the glasses are perfect for celebrating St. Paddy’s day, they also simply add a little extra joy to everyday clear glasses. I’m certain we’ll enjoy our rainbow glasses throughout spring and summer. Keep in mind, whether you use removable or permanent vinyl, the vinyl should stay on as long as you want. Then once you’re over the design, simply peel off. It’s one of the great features of vinyl on glass.
Materials
- Free Rainbow SVG File and Free Lucky Me SVG file
- Cricut vinyl in a variety of colors (we used 6 colors)
- Cricut transfer tape
- Glasses (My glasses are from IKEA: DYRGRIP wine glasses and GODIS water glasses)
- Rubbing alcohol
- Cricut Maker or another vinyl cutting machine
Instructions
Download files and cut vinyl decals: Download the free Rainbow SVG file and Lucky Me SVG file. Upload to Cricut Design Space or another cutting machine’s design platform. Size your decals. Follow the instructions on your cutting machine to cut the designs from the different vinyl colors.
Adhere vinyl decals to the glasses: Clean glasses with rubbing alcohol. Using the transfer tape, piece together your rainbow or “Lucky Me!” saying and place it on your glasses. For the rainbow, I found it easiest to place one rainbow piece at a time onto the glass. For the “Lucky Me!” saying, I found it easiest to piece all the letters onto a piece of transfer tape and then place them on the glass altogether.
We filled our glasses with Mint Chocolate Chip Shakes, our homemade twist on a Shamrock Shake. What would you fill your glasses with? We’d love to hear from you. Enjoy! And happy St. Paddy’s Day!

Cute designs! Love the colors. Really cheery and fun. That mint chip milkshake looks yummy and so festive in the stemless wine glass. I bet it tastes better than the traditional one from the golden arches, though still a holiday fav.
