My DIY Wood Slice Clipboard is a simple craft you can do in under five minutes. Maybe under two minutes. The craft is really that easy. Yet the result is the cutest clipboard you ever did see. I made it because I couldn’t find my clipboard, but I did find a wood slice and a binder clip in my craft supplies. Go figure. The benefits of being a craft hoarder. So let’s get to it.
Materials
- Wood Slice/Basswood Country Round (Available at your local craft store, here are a few: Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Oriental Trading, Amazon)
- Large “Bulldog” or “Hinge” Clip (Available at office supply stores, 2″ to 3.5″ size, here are a few: Amazon, Staples)
- Hot Glue & Hot Glue Gun
Instructions
Hot glue your large clip to the top of your wood slice. And that’s it, once dry your DIY Wood Slice Clipboard is ready to use!
If you want to make the craft more elaborate, feel free to decorate your wood slice before gluing on the clip. You could paint the board, add a cute saying using Cricut vinyl or engrave it using a wood-burning tool. Have fun with it and make it yours. It’s a great craft to do for a craft night.
I needed a clipboard because I wanted to make some friendship bracelets for Valentine’s Day. I’m so glad I needed one and couldn’t find mine. The two-minute craft, done out of necessity, couldn’t have turned out more perfect. The clipboard isn’t only functional but decorative too. Enjoy!
