I channeled my 12-year-old self and created the ultimate valentine—a Friendship Bracelet Valentines Printable. The “I love you” sign-language cards were designed for giving a friendship bracelet, but you could also give a candy bracelet, slap bracelet or any other bracelet. In addition, you could use the cards on a bag of candy or other Valentine’s Day gifts. Have fun with it! And this isn’t just for kids. I challenge you to make one for your current BFF!
My niece was really the inspiration behind my new valentine printable. During Christmas break, I got really excited when I saw her making friendship bracelets. I used to love making friendship bracelets as a kid and knew it would be fun to relive a little of my childhood and make them with my niece. If you have a tween or teen girl in your life, this is a great craft to do together. On Pinterest, just search “friendship bracelet” and tons of pattern tutorials come up.
I will be posting a tutorial this week for the heart friendship bracelets seen in the pictures. They are actually fairly easy; however, I had to read and watch about five different tutorials in order to understand how to make it. Each set of instructions was missing a vital piece of the information. I even taught myself how to read a macrame pattern in order to figure it out. So while I didn’t set out to make a friendship bracelet tutorial, I will be doing one in order to help someone else. So stay tuned.
The free Valentine’s Day printable prints four cards on an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. You can print the PDF file at home or at a place like FedEx office. See below for further instructions.

- White cardstock
- X-ACTO knife and ruler (or scissors)

Instructions
Download the free PDF file. Print the file on white cardstock. For more help with printing see my Print-It-Yourself Tips.
Cut out each card using an X-ACTO knife and ruler or use scissors. Punch two holes in your card on either side of the wrist. See the above photo for hole placement (notice the holes do not go through the hearts).
Slip your friendship bracelet through the two holes so it looks like the card is “wearing” the bracelet. Give to your bestie!
I designed the Friendship Bracelet Valentines to match my “I’m a Sucker for You” Classroom Valentines. I love the collection I’m creating, don’t you?
