I’m so excited to announce that I’ve teamed up with The Home Depot as well as a team of creative bloggers to help spread the word about their amazing Do-It-Herself (DIH) Workshops.
Did you know that you can take FREE workshops at your local Home Depot? They actually offer workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. You can look into signing up for one of three types of workshops:
- Do-It-Yourself (DIY)
- Do-It-Herself (DIH)
- and Kids!
You guys, I’m crafty, but I definitely need help when it comes to using tools. I usually call my dad or sister—the ultimate do-it-herselfer. But luckily, at these workshops we can learn how to build home decor projects, how to do home repairs and how to use tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. And their upcoming #DIHWorkshop is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit!
October’s DIH Workshop
At the next DIH Workshop on Thursday, October 20th, you’ll learn how to make a Seasonal Character Door Hanger that you can customize to be anything you want. The basic shape is perfect for making a scarecrow for fall or a snowman for winter. And of course Santa is always a hit with kids. To help give you some ideas of what your character could be, I’ll be sharing my door hanger with you as part of a virtual blog party next Monday. This way you’ll have plenty of ideas for when you go make your own on the 20th!

DIH Workshop Virtual Party
Check back here on Monday, October 17th and you’ll see what character I picked for my door hanger as well as links to see what Sandra, Summer, Amy and Alicia made. Plus, I’ll have links to about 20 other blogs tasked with the same project. With all this inspiration, you are for sure going to want to get in on this design trend, so gather your girlfriends and be sure to register! It will be a fun and informative evening.
