Create Halloween Silhouette Art with these free templates, including a witch and raven.
One quick and budget-friendly way to decorate for any holiday is to replace your art with holiday-inspired art. Here we made art using classic Halloween symbols (a witch and a crow). We used black heat-transfer vinyl to create the silhouettes. We then ironed the silhouettes to black-and-white fabric. The end result is a cost-effective, yet chic addition to our Halloween decor.
Often Halloween decor can look cheap, be too gory, or simply not match your style. By making your own decor, you can make sure everything matches your home decor style while being as spooky or cute as you like. In this case, you can customize the Halloween silhouette art with fabrics and colors that match your style.
While we used a Cricut to cut the silhouettes from black heat-transfer vinyl, you can also make this craft using only fabric or only paper. Simply use our free patterns to cut out silhouettes from fabric or paper. See below for more detailed instructions.

- Scissors
If NOT using a cutting machine:
- Free Halloween Silhouettes Pattern PDF
- Black paper or fabric

Instructions
If using a cutting machine:
Download SVG files (witch or crow). Following your cutting machine’s instructions, upload and cut out the silhouette shape using black heat-transfer vinyl. Using scissors, cut your background fabric to the size of your frame. Iron your heat-transfer vinyl silhouette to your background fabric following heat-transfer instructions. Frame your final art.
If NOT using a cutting machine:
Download the PDF pattern. Print your PDF and cut out the witch and/or the raven. Trace or pin your silhouette shape from the black paper or fabric. Cut out the shape. Cut your background paper or fabric to the size of your frame. Glue your silhouette shape to your background paper/fabric. Frame your final art.
Curious about the spiderwebs in the pictures? Those are DIY Hot Glue Spiderwebs I made last year. They are easy to make and make a perfectly spooky statement for any shelf. Happy Halloween!
